A Budget Hearing Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the South Cook County Mosquito Abatement District was called to order by President Ca Sandra Elston, at the District's Headquarter, 15500 Dixie Highway, Harvey, Illinois on September 14, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. upon due notice to all members of the time, date, and place of the meeting.

Annual Budget Hearing
The meeting was opened by the President whereupon the Annual Budget Hearing took place.
The Annual Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2026 – 2027 were reviewed by the Board of Trustees.
Discussion of Budget Amendment
A amendment was discussed to keep the budgeted amount of $160,000 for seasonal operators' salaries. The number of seasonal hires will remain at 15 for the 2027 mosquito season.
Budget Ordinance Approval
The Annual Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2026 – 2027 and the amendment discussed will be approved during the 886th Regular Board of Trustees Meeting.
